A thumb presses the one button in the middle of the ECDF AI Translator

How it works

Press. Speak. It says it out loud.

  1. 1

Set it up once in the free app on your phone, then it is one button.

  2. 2

Pick your two languages in the app, for example English and Italian. You can switch the pair any time.

  3. 3

Press the button and speak. It says your words out loud in their language, then says their answer back to you in yours.

Two ECDF AI Translators, each in a tan carrying case with a wrist loop

Couples and travel partners

Do we need one each?

You don’t have to: one translator handles a conversation between two people. Couples and travel partners still take two so each of you can handle the market, the taxi or the hotel desk on your own.

My wife and I will be using so I needed two!

Questions

Before you order

Which languages does it speak?

165 languages, both ways, including Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian. You pick your two in the free app and can switch the pair any time.

Why does the box say “Spanish & English Practice Companion”?

It is the same translator. The box leads with Spanish and English, and with practicing a language at home, but in the app you can pick any two of its 165 languages, both ways.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay once. The app is free and there is no fee per language.

How do I set it up?

Set it up once in the free app on your phone, then it is one button. The quick-start card in the box shows you how.

Can the other person hear it?

Yes. It speaks out loud on purpose, so both of you hear the translation. That is what lets you talk face to face instead of passing a phone back and forth.

When do I get my tracking number?

We email it to you when your order ships. From then on you can follow your parcel all the way to your door.

How accurate is it?

It is made for everyday conversations: trips, family, work. Speed and accuracy vary by language pair and background noise, so speak clearly and hold it close. It is not a certified interpreter: for medical, legal or official matters, use a professional interpreter.

Is it loud enough?

Yes. It has its own speaker, so the other person hears the translation across a table.

How big is it? How do I charge it?

It is palm-sized and fits in its carrying case. You charge it with the USB-C cable in the box.

What if it’s not for me?

Write to us on our contact page within 30 days of delivery with your order number, send the translator back, and we refund it to your original payment method. You keep the free cases.
